Six fire departments work together to rescue driver trapped in one of the worst wrecks ever in Big Canoe
One of the worst wrecks in Big Canoe occurred Tuesday morning, Aug. 23 at 9:40 a.m. when a Mulch Man, Inc. truck driver went off the road, down a steep hillside and careened at high speed into trees on Ron Floethe’s property at 4500 Wilderness Parkway.

Golf tournament provides funding for community services
In the past year, members of the Big Canoe Chapel Men’s Fellowship have built eight wheelchair ramps, visited four nursing homes, provided spiritual and activity support for men with needs, inspected and conducted repairs on 19 widows' homes, touched over 500 kids and dads at Dad’s Day Breakfasts, sponsored two inspirational movie nights and built a new playground for Abba House, focused on helping women break free of addiction and abuse.
