A brochure about lead in drinking water emailed to Big Canoe residents and posted on the Big Canoe Utilities website has caused some confusion among Big Canoe residents.

Big Canoe Public Safety and Fire Dept. collect Toys for Tots with Marine Corps

Big Canoe Public Safety and Big Canoe Volunteer Fire Dept. this year have joined with the Marine Corps as Toys for Tots collection site. Collections boxes will be at the Village Fire House, and Main and North Gates of Big Canoe through Dec. 20. Collection boxes will also be on the Playfield at the Santa event on Dec. 10. 

Toys collected will go to the children in the Pickens County area.

Water outage, fire house, assessment hike stir up community coffee

General Manager John Thompson announced at the Saturday, Nov. 12 community coffee that POA monthly assessments and amenities will both be going up by 3 ¼ percent.
