Call to vocalists for Bowen’s spring pop music show

The Dawson Community Chorale (DCC), a singing group sponsored by the Bowen Center for the Arts, presented its Fall Concert Friday, November 16. Under the direction of Dr. Joe Chapman, 30 members and 4 guest soloists performed the monumental work Elijah by Felix Mendelssohn.

Concert-goers at the First Baptist Church enjoyed a rousing, modern interpretation of Felix Mendelssohn’s composition and joined the performers for the post reception refreshments.

The Spring 2019 concert season will take the form of a variety show, with the theme “Pop Music Through the Years.” It will include solos, duets, small and large group numbers performed by chorale members, junior high and high school chorale singers, as well as residents of Dawsonville and surrounding communities who are invited to participate in this professional production. Rehearsals will begin in late January.
