Lumpkin’s Northeast Georgia Medical Center to start seeing patients July 16
Northeast Georgia Medical Center Lumpkin will start seeing patients at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16. The NGMC Lumpkin campus will include an emergency department, inpatient care and supporting imaging, pharmacy, lab and other services. Complete emergency services will be provided 24/7/365 by the same group of physicians that care for emergency patients at all Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) hospitals. Residents in Lumpkin County and surrounding areas are invited to celebrate the opening of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Lumpkin on Saturday, July 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will include tours of the hospital, food, touch-a-truck zone, face painting, games and live music featuring Curtis Jones & Primal Roots. Public parking for the event is available at University of North Georgia’s Convocation Center at 180 Alumni Drive in Dahlonega. Shuttles will provide transportation to and from the event. Disabled parking will be available at the hospital, which is located at 227 Mountain Drive.
