St. Paddy’s Ladies concert–Saturday, March 17, 2 p.m. at Eagles Rest Park on Mt. Oglethorpe will host Bunny Loftman, Terri Sawyer, and Shelley Gartin-Johnson will sing a medley of Irish and folk favorites. The park is located at the end of Monument Road. The Big Canoe Gate will be open on March 17 from 1–4 p.m. As usual, please bring canned goods to donate to CARES, the Pickens County foodbank.
“Grandma Gatewood Hikes the Appalachian Trail”–Saturday, March 24 at noon at Eagles Rest Park on Mt. Oglethorpe. The Mountain Conservation Trust of Georgia will host actress Anne Van Curen who will reprise her role. The Big Canoe gate on Sanderlin will be open from 10 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. for the event. As usual, please bring canned goods to donate to CARES, the Pickens County foodbank.
