The Springtime Marketplace will feature arts and crafts vendors, Bear Paw Bakery, Collectors’ Corner (with men’s section) and the Book Nook and offer an array favorite treats and must-haves to appeal to shoppers. The Legacy of Caring Gala and Auction—A Celebration of Giving—will include gourmet dinner and wine and auctions. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Nashville based trio, MAMADEAR. Tickets for the Gala are $100.00 per person and are available at www.bigcanoelegacy.org, at the Chapel Stand-Around or contact Sandra Gadd (706-579-2443).

Over 30 years, Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Guild’s Legacy of Caring has raised $1,800,000 to support dozens of charities in Pickens and Dawson counties. Funds benefit charitable organizations that focus on the well-being of women, children, and families by providing life skills to overcome the cycle of poverty, oppression or substance abuse.

Check the website, www.bigcanoelegacy.org, for info on Legacy of Caring events or the Facebook page, Legacy of Caring Big Canoe Chapel. Smoke Signals Weekly and Smoke Signals Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/bigcanoenews/) will provide additional background info and stories about the Legacy of Caring events and sneak peeks on what’s in store for those who attend.
