It’s a close one as a judge measures when a bocce ball ended its roll. The 2019 Bocce Tournament drew a large crowd—Tom Craton’s low country boil was a big enticement as well as the chance to compete in the tourney.

The Big Canoe Bocce League held its 2019 playoff and luncheon at the Wildcat Pavilion on a beautiful Saturday, May 18. A large crowd of bocce players, subs and fans watched spirited and competitive play and enjoyed a low country boil provided by Tom Craton’s Awesome Seafood.
After 112 regular season matches by the four 8-team conferences, eight teams made the playoff tournament including the Bona Fide Bocce Bowlers, Fockers, Bearly Bocce, Villagers, Boccelism, Let’s Roll, Over My Dead Bocce, and Rockin’ Rollers. The winning team was Let’s Roll made up of Linda and John Feight with Margo and Peter Vallone.
The Big Canoe Bocce board members did a great job of running the tournament and the players and fans were treated to an entertaining day of sport, food and good fellowship.
