Judge Jennifer Burt swears in new appointee, Marie Head.

Marie Head appointed to Dawson elections board

The Dawson County Board of Elections & Voter Registration is pleased to announce the appointment of our newest board member, Marie Head. Marie previously served on the Pickens County Board of Elections & Registration for a short time before moving into Dawson County. She was sworn in on May 18, 2018.

Head is the second appointee of the Democratic Party to the board, filling the vacancy of Spencer Maddux who retired in March 2018. We are glad she has joined our team and believe she will be a great asset to Dawson County.

For equal political representation, the Dawson County Board is comprised of five members: two appointed by the Democratic Party, two appointed by the Republican Party, and the chair, who by legislation, is the chief registrar and is the non-partisan member.
